This project involved consultancy on the development of a major integrated tourism complex in Oman planned to increase in-bound tourism and diversify the economy. Two land areas were to be granted by the Ministry of Tourism to the developer with the best economic, social, cultural and environmental plan.
MENTORs client was the development manager that was exclusively appointed to manage the bid. Our contribution to the project was helping to lay the groundwork for three companies that were to build, manage, promote and maintain the development of the complex.
We conducted extensive research on the most feasible project concept, examining options such as health and wellness, ecotourism, food tourism, cultural tourism, halal tourism, timeshare/vacation ownership, assisted living and summer camps.
Following this, we formulated the development strategies, business models, operating models/business processes and designed a framework for organizational development. In doing so, we set the strategic direction for these companies to pursue their goals using an optimal combination of structure, people and processes.
