MENTOR was appointed as a management consulting partner within a consortium, to a municipality in Saudi Arabia for a major urban development project involving the development of a new downtown area of 1 million sq.ms and investment value of 13 billion riyals.
MENTORs role involved providing advisory services on the development of a business plan and strategy for the overall project. It also involved the creation of a comprehensive organization chart and job structure, job descriptions with KPIs, and salary and benefit schemes based on job grades, as well as the design of a performance management process.
In addition, MENTOR was responsible for developing investor briefs and approaching potential investors and operators. We initially conducted market research on international hotel operators interested in entering the Saudi hospitality market, and assigned selection criteria. Following this, we approached these prospective partners to discuss terms and obtain an expression of interest.
MENTOR also designed an innovative digital solution to facilitate the tracking of the project's development milestones at various phases. The digital tool helped executive management to remain informed and updated on different aspects of the project, including the master plan, project illustrations and finances. It incorporated a user-friendly interface and visually appealing charts and diagrams to display complex data in a clear manner.
