A government ministry in the UAE needed to create more awareness and understanding on blockchain technology among its senior decision-makers. This was to serve as the preliminary step for the ministry to explore possible applications and benefits to their operations and services, in line with the countrys drive towards blockchain adoption in government.
MENTOR designed a program to train around 50 senior managers and directors from the ministry's various offices and functions. The course was run over 2 days to limit audience size and allow for greater interaction and in-depth discussion. To design and deliver the course, we worked with a subject matter expert with extensive experience in blockchain training and an active role in locally promoting the technology.
The workshop was designed to provide delegates with an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the technology, in order to help initiate efforts and guide decisions on its adoption. It provided an introduction to key concepts such as decentralization and transparency, and covered the technologys framework, history, evolution, and an analysis of various blockchain infrastructure technologies. It also focused on the ways blockchain can be used to streamline government operations and collaboration, improve public services, and safeguard data.
Using its deep experience in working with UAE government entities, MENTOR was able to tailor the workshop specifically to the ministrys operations and learning needs. The course was able to engage the delegates and create active discussion on its implementation. Our team also helped the ministry to identify specific departments and units that would benefit most from adopting the technology.
