MENTOR was brought in to help a United Nations organization in its drive to develop job-related skills and improve employment prospects of young impoverished Iraqis.
This was to be achieved by running training programs in an established academy, on subjects such as management, mechanics, information technology, and English language fluency. The goal was to help the local youth acquire necessary job-oriented skills in sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and industrial maintenance of heavy machinery.
MENTOR also conducted 'Train the Trainer' programs in order to strengthen the local training capacity to deliver ongoing up-to-date training courses, relevant to the requirements of modern local enterprises.
